Description

As a Procurement & Budget Analyst, you will serve as technical expert and advisor within the Defense Department on Reserve Component budgets and acquisition programs to achieve transparency of Reserve procurement funding among the joint armed services. As a member of a team of skilled practitioners, you will deliver effective communication solutions and provide analysis, recommendations, and visualization representations for priority projects and Defense Department requirements. The incumbent provides expert assessments, strategies, and recommendations for senior military and national decision makers

 

Key Tasks:

  • Strategic communication planning to support executive-level strategies and initiatives
  • Prepare presentations and develop print materials to support client communications
  • Provide advice and guidance on contracting matters
  • Review, evaluate, and provide specific guidance concerning Reserve Component contracting policies and procedures relative to pre-award and post-award functions for a variety of supply, service, studies, and/or minor construction contracting functions.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Position requires a secret security clearance
  • Position may require you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450)
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution and at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in developing and presenting executive level communication strategies and/or executive level briefings (at the General Officer, GS-15, and SES level)
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including ability to communicate both in-person and via email
  • Strong written communications and editing skills
  • Ability to collaborate productively in large interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to multi-task, take on several projects, meet deadlines, organize, and communicate effectively
