Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC is looking for an Lead VI/AV/VTC Technician and Workflow Manager to lead the team as a field engineer to complete all phases of the project’s installation. The Technician will perform their duties by conducting rack building, systems cabling/wiring and equipment placement and mounting in accordance with the system diagrams.

 

Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following:

  • Work with projectors, video conferences, screen displays, and computer controls.
  • Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cabling between audio, video, data, and control equipment.
  • Correctly and safely mount, test and calibrate equipment including projectors, screens, monitors, cameras and speakers.
  • Correctly configure and set up equipment per specifications and/or drawings.
  • Delegate tasks as appropriate to other technicians on a specific job.
  • Proactively identify areas of concern in a system design related to equipment integration and end-user functionality needs.
  • Communicate with the client, project manager, salesperson, and engineer with status updates, issues, and suggestions, attending job progress meetings as necessary.
  • Perform system tests to verify proper functionality and complete system testing paperwork.
  • Perform client training/orientation on system operation.
  • Train and mentor other technicians on equipment wiring and operation.
  • Work with subcontractors and/or third parties as necessary.
  • Identify integration inefficiencies and propose solutions.
  • Programming of equipment and systems.
  • Drive company vehicle to customer locations for service and installations.
  • Other duties as required

Military Installation Access and Security Clearance:  This position resides on a military installation.  Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass (successful pass of background check) and currently hold or able to obtain a security clearance.

Education and Experience: This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency as well as a minimum of DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification and 3 or more years work experience administering and maintaining various types of IT/VI systems (e.g. patient queuing system, pharmacy system, VoIP voice switch, VTC set-up, communications troubleshooting, EUD support, voice/data/CATV network infrastructure. IT customer support supporting a facility, environment, and complex customer base within a DoD healthcare system.
