Job Description

Tactica Solutions is looking for a Geophysical Analysist Support professional who is proficient in analysis, research, geophysical investigations, studies, remediation, civil engineering, technical evaluations, and support the preparation of engineering documentation to include:

 

  • Supporting the preparation and execute sites investigation work, plans, and required hydro-geological, geophysical and engineering field support.

Tasks:

  • Use GIS to support various missions on military installations throughout the United States and abroad
  • Maintain a high level of productivity
  • Perform analysis on geospatial information and create concise reports or maps displaying the results of the analysis
  • Interact with various military and civilian customers in a professional manner

 

Job Profile: Geophysical Analysist Support professional is a variable part time position with career progression opportunities. Projects support includes assignments within the United States and OCONUS travel.  Analyzing Geophysical survey data may include the collection of information associated with subsurface features, such as burials on land or shipwrecks underwater. Engineers, Scientists and Archeologists often use the information collected to detect and map subsurface features without having to do any destructive or unproductive excavating.  Tools used to collect subsurface information include sensors; ground, air, and water, ground penetrating radar and magnetometers.

Compensation: A competitive hourly wage plus insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off are available.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Tech savvy and always on the lookout for ways to improve our products and processes
  • Must have a good understanding of cartography, map reading, geospatial database creation and design, and methods of geospatial data development and data management
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Physically able to sit or stand for more than 6 hours per day
  • Ability to travel up to 100% in a given week/month
  • Proficient in ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of products
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills
  • Bachelors in related field and 5+ years of experience is desired
  • Must have an active SECRET clearance
