Location:  Tysons, VA



KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a Business Systems Analyst to join our rapidly growing team.  As the Business Systems Analyst, you will directly support the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency on the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System - Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH). Responsibilities include business process analysis; user/systems requirement analysis and specifications; gathering technical and non-technical requirements; and creating specification, design and other system development life-cycle documentation; interacting with internal team members to assure that the system specifications are clearly communicated and documented; participating in the development of tests plans and test cases; drafting client communications, managing client expectations, aiding in process compliance; and advising on best practices and ways to streamline business processes.

  • US. Citizen capable of passing a NACI background investigation
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of practical experience minimum
  • Understanding and experience in a broad range of computer systems
  • Ability to analyze data flow from source to destination in order to make it consumable and present in manner that is usable by the end user community
  • Experience with DHA systems highly desired
  • Data modeling to visualize database structure
  • Creating improvements to workflows
  • Working with developers and users to improve user experience
  • Documenting and presenting suggested improvements
  • Knowledge of web architectures and object-oriented technologies
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical problems to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding and experience in a broad range of systems, industry best practices and competencies
  • Experience assessing impacts of legacy systems and addressing data related problems of system integration and compatibility
  • Experience defining an overall data architecture as it relates to task goals during the analysis, design, planning phases and implementation of each project
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Enjoys the challenges of a dynamic development project
  • Other duties as assigned
