Job Summary

KaiHonua, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed AVMM Technician to join our growing team. The AVMM Technician supports mission-critical operations for our government customer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following:

  • Troubleshoot technical problems
  • Support various operations and maintenance (O&M)
  • Perform system integrity and connectivity tests to ensure system availability
  • Assess and report on performance and usage numbers
  • Installs, maintains, and troubleshoot complex high availability hardware and software
  • Identify issues and create improvement processes to help with the reduction of incident outage times
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including DoD STIG requirements
  • Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, and set standards for AVMM and related networks.
  • Maintain a complex range of AVMM and computer network components and systems.
  • Work with other network professionals as directed or as needed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
  • Plan and support AVMM network initiatives.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new AVMM network equipment and technologies.  Collaborate with other technical staff and management in the testing of new software and network technologies.
  • Analyze current products and recommends changes/upgrades to management.
  • Maintain timely and complete documentation of all daily and project work, using standard methods and procedures.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience performing AVMM functions
  • Must possess and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002
  • Top Secret Clearance


  • Customer service skills, and experience fielding and troubleshooting customer questions and issues
  • Possesses good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, software development processes and ability to understand and implement client requirements.


  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
